[Random Tip] - When using stickers on a pop dot to add dimension, place the sticker on the pop dot then neutralize the sticker back with baby powder before peeling off the pop dot backing and placing it on your page. - (Added by: dMarie)

Catching up on e-mail/dMarie from my in-laws... *smile*

I'm still at my in-laws. I think we are leaving today. They left yesterday morning to head to Branson for vacation but rather than pay a hotel in Chicago we took the train back here. They just moved into a new beautiful home that is way to big for the two of them but they purchased it more as an investment. We feel like we are at a resort. LOL We've decided that their walk in closet is as big as Savannah's room and I think we could live in their master bedroom suite! LOL I'm absolutely drooling over her pantry! Everyone else is just beginning to stir so I'm catching up on my laundry (and e-mail) before we head home. It's about a 6 hr drive from here but we haven't decided whether we will head on home or spend one last night at a hotel. I know I am going to get to go to two scrapbook stores Memorybook Lane (I think that's the name) in Wheaton and I'm going to check out the Archivers in Downers Grove. Thanks for the info, Sue!! I know this weekend is the convention in St. Louis. I told Jeff if we head home, Sierra and I will go to that tomorrow. If we don't, that's okay too. I've saved enough money to buy one or two alphabets from Quickuts and that money is burning a hole in my pocket. *smile* .

Yesterday, we enjoyed taking the Metra into Chicago. Much better than driving!! Except that when you get down there, you don't have a car. You will never guess what we did!! We didn't realize that there were free train trolleys so when we left Union Station, we headed out on foot - the wrong way!! Had to back track and then we walked all the way to the Shedd Aquarium. I estimated we walked over 50 city blocks. Poor little Savannah, I didn't think she was going to make it, but it was good exercise for her!! She's my couch potato. It took us about an hour and a half (of course that includes going the wrong way). We spent the entire day at the Shedd Acquarium. That is the most awesome acquarium site I've ever seen. I absolutely love Baby Beluga whales and they had five!! Anyway, when we got to Shedd's, Jeff was standing in line and I walked around to see if there were trolleys to take back and found out they were FREE! So we left the acquarium around 5:00 and were one of the last groups to get to ride them back. I know Savannah would never have made the trek back and not so sure I would. LOL We were going to eat at Hard Rock Cafe but the closest the trolley got to it was about 13 blocks. Savannah was already crashed on the seat of the trolley drooling on her daddy's leg. So we opted to try for some Chicago Style pizza near Union Station. We asked around but couldn't find anyone who knew of any place close - not that we could understand anyway. *smile* So we just ate in the station. Anyway, we decided next time we go down town, we will have to familiarize ourselves with the bus system and plan it all out a little more. But honestly, I don't think we could have done more than the acquarium in one day anyway. Jeff would have loved to go to the Children's/Field Museum but he thinks he could spend two weeks in there alone. He swears my mom could probably spend a month. She reads EVERY wall. LOL

We're skipping the American Girl Place this time. Last time we were here, we arranged to go for tea and it cost $75 for the four of us. Jeff didn't say anything but thought it was quite expensive. Of course, we dropped a bundle on clothes for Molly and Samantha before we left too. We decided we couldn't afford to go there this round. *smile*

Well, I'm off to finish laundry and checking my e-mail. That will be two less things I'll have to catch up on when I get home. Thanks for all of the info on the scrapping things in the area. I will try to check out that paper place next time. There is a new one somewhere near Lincoln Park also. ??? I try not to fill my family trips with too much focus on scrapbooking. *smile* Thanks again ladies. See you again in a few days.
