These four double-page spreads are all from our weekend trip to Kyoung Ju. I used the same style on all of them. The background paper is Thai Unryu from Daniel Smith. I used the same four colors for mats on all the pages, and on each one I picked one photo and made an inner crea-colored mat and cut down the sides with "provincial" scissors. The title on this one was cut out of paper with an Xacto knife. I was especially pleased with the hairline on the "G". Kyoung Ju was the capital of one of Korea's three ancient kingdoms, going back about 2000 years, and is full of historic sites. The thing that looks like a big stone milk bottle in these photos is actually Asia's oldest observatory. I didn't plan on having all the pictures on this page be of the same thing, but it works well as an introduction to the Kyoung Ju pages. |
