"Going home, going home, been so long away..." (Well, "home" in this case turned out to be three years in Newfoundland, but that's beside the point.) The strip down the side is Thai unryu (wine--love this color!) from the Paper Web, wetted and torn. I included a boarding pass and an envelope corner with canceled stamps. I really wanted to put the stamps in somwhere, and this seemed like the only place they would fit (besides which they echo the stamp imagery on page 2, going over). DH's dad took the photo of us getting off the plane in Sacramento. It took me a long time to get ahold of this photo--I must wonder if it was worth it. Lucky the rice cooker was my carry-on. No one batted an eye at it in Korea, but once we got back to the US people kept asking me what it was. One person thought it was a hair dryer. (That's all, folks!) |
