Notes
Capelin are little silver fish that come into the shallows to spawn, traditionally on the first full moon after the summer solstice. You can just wade out into the water and scoop them up. There were lots of people on the beach scooping them into buckets and coolers. It was truly amazing to watch. Barb got the boy with the bucket to pose for her. I love the way it turned out.
I found a picture of capelin on the internet. I resized it and printed out two copies facing different directions, and traced them onto cardstock and cut them out with my exacto knife.
Originally I was thinking I'd do this page on a black background. I am SO glad I found this color instead. It's just exactly right. I'm not entirely sure what it is but I'll be looking for more!
