Notes
This layout is created by Barb in AK. It is the layout that was submitted to Memory Makers for their state contest. Barb used navy blue speckled paper for the background. She then cut 1" canary yellow stips to place around the border. Barb selected her color combination based on the state flag colors. She used inks to make a tiny mountain scene and then stamped silver snowflakes. On the bottom strip, Barb inked forget-me-nots that were created using a q-tip. She also used inks to make an aurora to depict the northern lights. In the middle of the layout is a large die-cut of the state. She used an exacto knife to cut an "X" in the middle of the state and then pulled the parts back, tacked them down with pop dots to form a window, and put a picture of her family wearing their parkas in 1 feet of snow. Each photo has journaling in a tiny label in vellum with the date and place. I love this layout and am honored that Barb gave permission for me to post it at LOC!
