|When I went to Utah for my brother's graduation from BYU, I got to spend a few days with my friend Laura in the Salt Lake City area. We went riding on her friend's horses. I had a horse for a few years while I was in Junior High, but I hadn't been on one for years. It was pretty fun (and I didn't fall off, though things got a little exciting a few times). We both got two much sun and were feeling a bit woozy afterwards.
For the title here I used Lucida handwriting font. I printed it out and then traced it onto vellum, and cut my own stencil. I used temporary hermafix to stick the stencil down on my cardstock, and also stuck down the middle cut-out bits of the letters like E and O. I used stamping ink and a sponge dauber to ink the stencil, and then went over it with chalk. I peeled off the stencil, cleaned up the edges with my kneaded eraser, and burnished the chalk. Fun! I think I'll be doing more titles this way--I really like the look. I did the horseshoes the same way.
