Untitled

By:Sultry Brunette... mother of 2 Angels

I was introduced to Scrapbooking just over a year a go when my family and I bought a new home. My new neighbor invited me over for a "Scrapbooking Party" that she holds once a month. Now I had never heard of such a thing but she told me to bring a few pictures of some special event we'd had, and she'd take care of the rest. And she certainly did! I was awed by the amount of darling materials and the creative way she had put together a scrapbook for her son. My neighbor helped me create a 1st Birthday page for my youngest daughter and I was hooked!

This last year scrapbooking has given me just the creative outlet I've needed. I'm a full time mom and as wonderful as that is, it has it's downfalls.. one of which can be boredom. Scrapbooking allows me to do several things I love at once while not neglecting my children's needs. I can still take many pictures of my girls, but I can also design and create something wonderful that they can cherish in the years to come. Scrapbooking is flexible enough that I can put it down to play a game or rock a child to sleep and return to it without missing a beat. And I love the sense of accomplishment I have when I finish a page.

The best part are sites like dmarie.com. Internet shopping allows me to shop and get ideas while my children are napping... much more enjoyable than trying to control a bored preschooler and Kindergartner while looking at supplies in a local store. Thanks dmarie!
