The Purpose of Scrapbooking

By:Laurie M.

There are a lot of people that can not find a purpose for scrapbooking in their lives, but I have found three wonderful reasons. They are my husband, my son, and my daughter.

I want to be able to leave a legacy of my life to my family. I want my children to know my thoughts of them as they are growing into adults. I love my family with all of my heart and I hope that they will be able to feel my love for a long time, but what if something happens to me. In rememberence of September 11, who knows how long God will keep us on this earth.

If something happens to me, I want my children to know something about who I was. I have chosen to do most of my own handwriting because I want them to know how I write. I have come up with most of my layouts, which reveal in their own way, what kind of person I am.

If I live to old age, I want my grandchildren to know a little about me as a young mother and wife. The purpose of my scrapbooking, is my family, and to leave something for the family I will only know thru heaven's eyes.
