Scrapbooking is such a wonderful hobby, it encompasses so many things. What other hobby can include creativity and love of family? Scrapbooking is art, geneaology and in my case therapy.
I'm my husband's third wife and stepmother to three great kids. It's hard to create family ties, however, with scrapbooking I've been recording our special times together and our progression towards becoming a family. Scrapbooking allows me to show each person how much I love them in a tangible way.

Scrapbooking has also been my saving grace. My husband was diagnosed with cancer of the tonsil in August of last year, and thankfully he is cured of this horrible disease. When someone in your family is sick , it changes everyone's life and when you are the caretaker it can be overwhelming.
In quiet moments I would take some time for myself and scrap, this was a major stress relief for me. I would worry about layouts and embellishments, not the difficulties outside. It might have only been fifteen minutes, but it made all the difference in my attitude towards everything.

I love to scrapbook and it means more to me with each passing year. It has become intergral to my life and mental health.
