What do I like most about dMarie.com

By:Lesia, Arab, AL

We live in a society where we are always busy. Either we are acting a chauffeur for our kids to and from school, or to and from other activities, or we are running to the grocery store or the cleaners, or other innumerable errands. As such, I have a limited time for myself. Being a mother and a wife come first and second.

Them comes myself. With that limited time, it is difficult to make and maintain a large group of friends. Some have said that scrapping is the current day quilting bee. When we gather for crops, we are “quilting”. Also, in times past, families lived in close proximity to each other. If advice was needed, a Mother or an Aunt or a Cousin was just around the corner.

Now they are a long distance phone call away. And many times, a question would not be taken at face value. Here at dMarie, in picture talk, we have a virtual quilting bee, and a neighborhood filled with Mothers, Sisters, Aunts, and Cousins, and one special brother named Mark. Questions are taken at face value and honest opinions are given.

And all this group of family needs to maintain a friendship is the computer. Whether at home, at work, or on a vacation, I can connect with my family for a pick-me-up, a shoulder to cry on, a word of advice, or a good swift kick in the pants to get me to shape up. And with my group of family and friends, I can shop and see wonderful ideas on how to implement my new toys. All I have to say to newcomers to dMarie is “Welcome Home”.
