Why I love scrapbooking

By:Lillie T.

I have always thought of myself as a creative person. I like to experiment with new twists on familiar recipes. I have dabbled in painting, ceramics, crossstitich and various other crafts. I found a passion in photography, however. Once I learned how to take better pictures I was a fanatic. Scrapbooking combines pictures and a creative outlet.

As a stay at home Mommy, I do not have many moments to myself. I am never alone...even when taking a bath. I do not have a lot of activities in my life that do not revolve around my family. Scrapbooking is my hobby...my thing.

I appreciate the incredible opportunity I have as the primary caregiver of my children. I get to enjoy every milestone, every smile...and capture those moments in pictures. I treasure the memories I have documented in my scrapbooks and so does my family. They are a great source of joy for us.

Why do I love scrapbooking?? I love it for all these reasons. I love that I can take some paper, some adhesive, and transform my pictures into artwork that tells a story or captures a feeling. I love that my pictures are on display in such a beautiful way and they can be appreciated for generations to come.
