How

By:Picasso

"To love what you do and feel that it matters-how could anything be more fun?" -- Katherine Graham

I do love what I do! I am a scrapbooker- an art history lover, who became an art teacher, who became a mom. I have fallen in love with my children and fallen in love with the art of sharing my family's memories. Art has always been an important part of my life. My art training taught me that to be a true artist you needed to create work that spoke from your heart. Combining my love of my children and my love of photography with the creative opportunities to play with pen and paper-how could I not be having the time of my life!

I was a novice scrapbooker when a much wanted pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. For one entire summer I spent my afternoons pouring my heart into a personal journal embellished with calligraphy and mulberry paper. The ability to create something beautiful and to express my emotions was incredibly healing. Now, I enjoy creating pages that allow me to relive special moments with my two boys. I want them to know how much I love them and how they are cherished. My wish for you is that you let your soul and spirit and dreams for your children live on in your scrapbooks. As I wrote on the title page of my son's book last night, "May the labor of my hands be a window into my heart. I love you, Mommy" How I love using my art to touch the lives of those I love!
