Why Do I Love Scrapbooking

I love scrapbooking because it is a way to preserve our families history. I became involved in scrapbooking when my creative juices, (nurtured and brought to life by my grandmothers, who out of necessity in hard times, learned to sew for their families and keep them clothed, taught me how to sew by hand and then on a machine, where I made my first quilt top at the age of 13, from then on, nothing could keep me from doing anything that I thought I could.)

About a year and a half ago, as I was leafing through some magazines there was some cute pictures and I thought to myself, wouldnt that picture look great there. Then when I got on the internet the first craft site I came to was dMarie, and I was hooked. All the wonderful people in the chat room were so helpful, and all the wonderful scrapping supplies that dMarie handles is wonderful.

I have four daughters and I have all of them one album a piece finished, and there has been so many beautiful pages created from ideas either from my heart or inspired by layouts on dMarie. Scrapbooking is a passion for me now, whenever I have a few moments, I am wrist deep in a mind soothing art, which is going to keep our families' past a part of the present forever.
