No More Time

No More Time
How could I have known that my time was almost up? I had no idea that when I entered the hospital on September 1, 2000, that I might not make it back home!
“You have Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. The survival time without treatment is 8 to 12 weeks. Your case is advanced ; you have quite a road ahead of you….”
It was like a bomb hitting. What about all the plans I had? What about my husband, and my son? What about my PTA responsibilities? What about my new scrapbooking business? What about…… It doesn’t matter. When your time is up, it’s up.
Thankfully, God has given me the chance to re-evaluate my time and what I will do with it. There is no more time to worry about which die cut or which sticker match each layout. There is no longer time to worry if there are some other papers out there that will work better with one set of pictures. The time that I have left must be spent working on getting the pictures in the albums, and journaling the unique stories that go along with the pictures. I must tell the stories so that my son will know all the details of his baby years, because I was the one that spent so much time with him. I have to write down why we took two rolls of film of him on his new bicycle, or why we always take a family picture in front of the Christmas tree. He has to know that his Daddy likes spending time with him just playing. He has to know that he is loved and holds an important place in our family.
Why is Scrapbooking important? Because we don’t know how much more time we have left!
