Why I love Scrapbooking

I love scapbooking because I can display my photos in a unique way and my son will have a piece of his family forever and ever. Scrapbooking is important to me because I can give my son a view into his past and heritage.

He may not remember or have even met a relative who has passed away, but my scrapbooks will be filled with photographs and memories of who he is and where he came from. Scrapbooking has changed my life dramatically.

I have always been a huge photo buff. I am rarely seen without a camera. I used to put my pictures in an album and look at them every now and then. But coould never remember that person's name or what happened in that picture. Now when I put pictures into a scrapbook, I write down the names of the people who are in the photograph, who they are and what that moment meant to me.

I hope to carry this tradition on to my children and grandchildren so that our heritage lives on and on. What I like the most about dMarie.com is seeing how other people share their most precious memories and the positive feedback I get from so many people regarding my layouts. It means so much to me when someone tells me they like my layouts and it inspired them to do a layout of their own.
