I love to scrapbook!

Don't we all? Scrapping is not just a creative outlet for me. I mean, I do loads of crafts. One grandmother taught me to quilt, another to crochet. Mother taught me to sew. These are all fine creative outlets for me, but there is a satisfaction that I get from scrapping that is beyond that. It is a connection to the past, the present, and the future generations that nothing else gives me.
I have done several baby albums, a wedding album, and even more heritage albums. That's where I am now, enjoying heritage layouts. Daily I pour over all my grandparent's photos from their childhood and early days, remembering the stories that they shared with me and making more layouts. I journal and can't stress enough, how important journaling is!
I am the unofficial keeper of the photos in my family now. I inherited them from both branches of family and get inspiration from dmarie inspiration place for poems to go along with my pictures. Layout central is always there and conveniently laid out by technique or theme so I can check over ideas when I need help.
I have finally gotten my mother to start scrapping and she just finished her first heritage album. She no sooner finished it than she was out getting more supplies to start the next one. I think she's hooked!!!! Sharing our love of scrapping is such good feeling too! Well, there's no scrapping this weekend because I have to get back to searching for footballs, but layouts are dancing in my head so finish later! Thanks dmarie!
