Scrappin to me.

By:Tami T

In order for you to understand why I love scrapbooking so much, you would have to know just a little of my history.

I was raised by my mother, and father, but my father was in the military, so he was never home. My mother raised four children pretty much alone. We never lived near any of thier families. Growing up it was us we depended on each other. My mother had a visit one time from family and they thought they were helping out when the took the garbage out. In the box of "garbage" were all the pictures of us growing up.. There is nothing left. I have one picture of myself as a baby my aunt gave to me from one visit my mother took back home. I was six weeks old. So for me scrapbooking is a way for me to take those pictures of my children and highlight their moments in time so they never forget or better yet I never forget.

Scrapbooking has become my relief my way of getting away from pressures of working, raising children, and trying to maintain a home. I get lost in scrappin.. It's the only artistic avenue I have ever been able to accomplish in my life and feel good about it. That means alot to me. Being someone who deals with adhd this is quite the accomplishment considering I normally have a hard time sitting down long enough to write a check to pay the bills.

Scrapbooking is important in so many ways. Stated above I get to preserve those pictures that would otherwise would be lost. I get to cherish even the small moments. My children will know that even that day they made a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich for the first time by themselves was important enough for me to take a moment and pause and show how proud I am..

Scrapbooking has changed my life in many ways. It has helped me deal with not being able to see those pictures of myself that were thrown in the garbage. I has helped me to see that not everyone has to be an artist or creative to save those precious pictures. That if I can do it then even my kiddos can do it too.. Which I should add they do..

DMarie has so many amazing qualitiies I love how easily accesible it is. I love the gallery. I love the ease in which you can view all the information.. Gosh I could go on and on, the time capsule is great..

Thank you
