I am a Gemini. Whenever I would read an astrological chart on my alleged traits, I always wondered why the words "un-creative or not-a-crafty-bone-in-her-body" never showed up. I have started a thousand hobbies in my life and have never,ever, stuck with them. The unfinished cross-stitch Christmas stockings, the yards and yards of fabric next to my hardly-been-used sewing machine. The list goes on...until Scrapbooking.

Like many of my scrapbook peers, I attended a class about photo preservation. I was somewhat interested, very intimidated, but plunked down the moola for some supplies...which sat in my closet for over a year. Then my sister-in-law asks me if I ever heard of this craft and goes on and on about how marvelous it is. Her enthusiasm was so infectious; I dug out my supplies and looked for a scrapbooking consultant. After my first workshop, I was helplessly addicted. I scrapped, I cropped, I acquired zillions of supplies, and I evangelized some friends.
So, why do I love Scrapbooking? I love it because I am be creative without posessing a creative bone in my body! I love scrapbooking because I can do it alone or with a group (that Gemini thing) and still ahve a sense of accomplishment and pleasure. I love scrapbooking because I finally have found an activity that i truley love and will never give up. I love scrapbooking because of the sense of pride it gives me in my creative abilities. I love scrapbooking because it introduced me to the world of the internet. I love scrapbooking because of the incredible women I have met through workshops, weekend getaways and, of course, the dmarie friends.
I love scrapbooking because I finally found something I CAN do, and do well.
