My Love of Scrapbooking

By:CHRISTINE Z.

I started scrapbooking about 5 years ago when my second son was born. I was very overwhelmed at first and thought,I'll never have time to do this.

Fast forward to today. Scrapbooking is a way of life. I am the family fanatic that ALWAYS has a camera, and thinks about how my pages will look as I'm taking the pictures. It is so important to capture my families memories and then everyone can share in them when they see my albums. These are memories that my boys can look back on when they get older as well as the rest of us.

I love to scrap and I always try to get new people I meet to come and try it out. My neighbor and I Srapbook every Friday night. My friends and I get together once a month at a friends house and scrap for an afternoon, with no interuptions. Just us girls! We have so much fun! It's relaxing, it's fun and everyone shares their ideas. A group of six of us have also started an annual GIRL'S WEEKEND. We get together for a weekend in October and just scrap and have fun. This year is our 3rd annual weekend and we all look forward to it. We've even started a GIRL'S WEEKEND scrapbook album. Every year we take pictures (of course), and each year one of us gets to srap the pictures from our weekend. We know in years to come we are going to treasure these memories.

I would just say that I think everyone should make scrapbooking a way of life. No excuses of ,I don't have enough time, it's too much work, I have too many years of photos, etc. It's fun, and what a great way for you to remember all those memories that have been sitting in a shoe box in the clsoet. So ladies, get out those pictures and start jogging your memories. You'll be glad you did!

P.S. dMarie has great products to get you started and page layouts that can inspire you!
