Scrapbooking is. . .

By:Pam G.

Scrapbooking. . .how do you sum it up?! I love to scrapbook for MANY different reasons, relating to so MANY levels of my life!

On the surface, scrapbooking serves the purpose of safely preserving and telling the stories of the many cherished memories, precious moments and visions in our lives. Scrapbooking allows us to express our likes and dislikes, share funny and sad stories, and preserve that perfect 'silly face' of your 2 year old so they can see how funny they were at 2 when they are 40!

Scrapbooking is a creative outlet -- and not only on paper. It has opened my eyes (even more!) to the beauty of the world, the innocence of childhood and important role close relationships play in our lives.

Scrapbooking can be emotionally theraputic -- a way of working through rough times. Preserving the memories of those who have left this world.

Scrapbooking has provided me the avenue to further discover my own personal likes and dislikes. To imagine, dream and hope for both my my family's future. How else could you express to future generations your love of gray t-shirts?

Scrapbooking has expanded my circle of friends. Giving me the opportunity to meet new people at the crops I attend.

So, I guess to sum up scrapbooking is a complicated task. It is consuming and addicting (just like X-Box can be for men!). It is my time for creative, eye opening, theraputic, freind making, purposeful fun!
