I love scrapbooking because...

Well, I guess to tell you why I love to scrapbook I need to start at why I started. When I had my first child I was in a terrible relationship, and because of circumstances out of my control;I had my baby taken away from me at 7 weeks old. I was devastated.

Worse yet because I had left her father,who was the perpetrator,I lost one visit a week with her. When I regained custody, two and a half years later,her foster parents gave me copies of all of the pictures that they had taken of her for the past two and a half years. This was like giving me gold.

So, even though I didn't get to spend all that time with her,I did get to see so much that I had missed. I wanted her to see all of these pictures and to be able to understand as she grew up that she was and is very important to me.

I love to scrapbook because it is one of the best ways for me to be able to show my family how much they mean to me. I now have a boy as well as a girl. I also have a wonderful,loving husband who has adopted my daughter and loves her as his own. Scrapbooking all the important and not so important events in their lives is one way that I can show them that I love them. That is why I love to scrapbook.
