When I was Young (The importance of scrapbooking)

When I was young, I played and ran
And jumped in all the puddles.
When I was young, I sang and laughed
And always liked to cuddle.

When I was young, I rolled and crawled
And played with all my toys.
When I was young, I screamed and cried
And made a lot of noise.

As I grew bigger, I learned to skate
And swim and throw a ball.
As I grew bigger, I learned to shop
And hang out at the mall.

As I grew bigger, I went to school
And learned to read and write.
As I grew bigger, I made new friends
And talked and talked all night.

As I got older, I couldn't remember
All the fun things I had done.
As I got older, I had no record
Of the games that I had won.

As I got older, I started to wonder
What would I tell my son?
As I got older, I needed to know
Just how to record my fun.

It was then that I learned about a great hobby
That let me record all my thoughts.
All my hopes and my dreams for my children and me
So that none of our lives are for naught.

Scrapbooking allows us to put it all down
On paper and vellum and such.
Now all that we do will be recorded forever
So my families hearts I will touch.
