I love to Scrapbook

By:By Loretta, Overland Park, KS

I started 'collecting' scrapbook supplies in 1996 when I was in college. My roommate took me to a Creative Memories Party. I was so hooked. I bought supplies (paper pizzaz books, stickers, etc) every chance that I got. I never took the time to actually make any pages. *LOL*

In October 2000, I attended a Creative Memories party with my Mother in law. It was father in law's birthday in about 10 days. We decided that we would make him an album for his 50th birthday. We went to some of the Local Scrapbook Stores to find supplies (racing theme was hard to find here in Kansas City at that time). We worked on it every night for a week. (Father in law worked overtime). She would tell him that she was at our house for supper..or to help me find some new shoes. (He wondered why I couldn't shop for shoes on my own!!)

We got the album finished in time for his birthday..he LOVED it!! My husband saw it and wanted one. I made him one for Valentine's.

So..after this I started working on my childhood pictures..and cranked pictures out like a machine.

I finally have found something that I love more than stamping and sewing. My stamps are rarely used and my sewing machine is collecting dust. I have become obsessed with scrapbooking. I think about it in the car, while making supper and just before I go to bed. It has taken over my life. I am addicted to scrapbooking and probably need some therapy. However, I first have to admit that I have a problem..and I REFUSE to admit that!!

May you Moments in time be made into Memories Forever,
LorettaV
