Another side of me

Scrapbooking has given me a confidence that I have found nowhere else. Before I discovered scrapbooking, there was no way in the world I could imagine teaching. I dreaded any kind of public speaking, and when I would have to do it, I would be incredibly nervous, and my 10 minute talks would become 3 minute ones, I would talk so fast.

But with scrapbooking, I've found something that I'm good at, something in which I'm very knowledgeable, and most importantly, something that I love and want to share with others.

So now, because of scrapbooking, I have been able to find a part of myself that I never would have guessed - and would even have denied - existed. Now, I teach what I love, and I even get paid to do so.

I am also able to speak in public much better than before... my talks last as long, and sometimes longer, than I had prepared for them to be... and I am always amazed that I actually speak as well as I do.

And what a wonderful bonus that I have found this in something that is really so important... something that ties us to our ancestors, that strengthens our bonds with our families, and that can continue that tradition into the future.

What a blessing scrapbooking has become in my life.
