Memories Worth Keeping
By:By C. Hammon, Plantation Key, FL
Several years ago my husband and I were to attend a Christmas party and bring a wedding photo with us. When I removed the photo from my wedding album; I discovered , to my horror, that the whole outer border of that photo had turned brown from where the mate was placed on top of it. Since the album had been done professionally, I had no idea that the paper on top of the photo would discolor my precious memories. I spent the next couple of weeks removing all of my photos from the magnetic albums--all 36 albums!
I cherish the few photos I have of my parents and wanted my children to have more to remember our lives together. I attended by first Creative Memories class and was hooked. Getting my photos in archieval safe albums has become a great source of enjoyment. Of course, I would not have the motivation without your fantastic web site. It has provided me with countless ideas so that I have been able to complete 14 albums. My children will pick up an album and say, "I didn't know that about you." What joy it has brought to be able to not only preserve my photos but also to see the importance of journaling as I work in the albums. Scrapbooking will be a part of my life forever!
