Why I love scrapbooking

By:Tina B. WI

I have only been a scrapbooker for about 2 years. I was very reluctant to take a class. I had a friend that was really into scrapbooking, preserving memories, and just the companionship that goes along with it.

She asked me to come to a workshop with her, I was too busy. Why did I want to waste time and money on something that didn't interest me, besides, I don't have a creative bone in my body.

Boy was I wrong! I found out that scrapbooking allows me to be creative, and it gives me an outlet. It allows me to show the things happening in the lives of my children and myself.

What I love about scrapbooking is that it allows me to spend time with my family, as both my son and daughter have now started their own books. Scrapbooking allows me to savor the happy time, and work though the hard or sad times. It also gives me insight into myself, and it has allowed me to make some friendships that I don't believe I would have had if I hadn't started scrapping!
