"Green Scrap Book Please"

By:Nancy T.

My 2-year-old son asks to see the scrapbooks again. It is Monday morning and there is 6 inches of snow on the ground. Daddy has left for work and we are sitting in "the big bed," eating cheerios and looking at airplane books. My son remembers a trip we took the the Air and Space Museum. He wants to see pictures of that trip.

He has hundreds of books. But he wants the books I made for him. What an exhilarating feeling! He points to the pictures and names friends, relatives, locations, colors, shapes, and tries to pick off the stickers though the page protectors! He is captivated by these pages.

Scrapbooking is my way of reminding our son that he is loved. When Mommy or Daddy have to take a trip out of town, or when ONLY Daddy or Mommy will do, these pages of colorful photos and familiar handwriting ease his mind like an old friend.

Oh, I have to go now. He wants to see the red scrapbook now.
