Why do you love scrapbooking?

By:Amy Stiles

Scrapbooking has got to be the greatest thing since indoor plumbing (well, the second
greatest thing - my hubby is the first)! I am so glad that I discovered it! Not only is it a great stress reliever, it allows me to be as creative as I want. It also lets me include one of my passions - writing. What more could you ask for?

All of my albums are an expression of me and my life and the way I view the
world. It’s a sum total of all my dreams, joys, sorrows and life experiences. It’s a
glimpse inside my soul.

When future generations look inside my albums, they will know the real me. The
pictures and other memorabilia are tangible records of my life meant to be shared with
others rather than stuffed in a shoe box or inside an album never to be looked at and
enjoyed. These generations will open my albums and be transported in time to
generations past, to family and friends they may never know, to a world that may be far,
far different from their own. Most importantly the stories of my family and our ancestors
will be recorded and never forgotten.
