How Scrapbooking Has Changed My Life

By:By Penny, Pennsylvania

When I began this hobby a year and a half ago, I did so with the thought that it would get my pictures into a safe place. Ha!

While it did that, I have to say that scrapbooking for me has meant so much more. It means a whole new vocabulary (scrappin, crop, layouts, journaling). It means sitting down with my family to look at my albums. It means having only $5 in my pocket and STILL being able to buy many things at the scrapbook store. Paper and stickers are CHEAP!

But it also means a whole new kind of friendship. I've met people locally who I've gone on to scrap with at least twice a month. They've become some of my best friends. It's amazing how close you become to someone when you scrap together, talk together, eat together and laugh together. But I've also met people online that I never would have otherwise met. We came together because of a hobby and are leaving together as great friends.

Scrapbooking means to me: a whole new lifestyle. What did I ever do before scrapping?
