Why I love scrapbooking

By:Michelle S. (aka ChelleBelle)

Why do I love scrapbooking?

I love it because it's become my "cabin in the woods". Ever since I was little the thought of a cabin in the woods has appealed to me. There is just something about being out there in the middle of nowhere, all alone that draws me in. It just sounds so relaxing and peaceful. Well I've made my own little cabin in the woods right here at home.

Whenever I'm overly stressed I know that I can turn to my scrapping as a way to relax. No matter what's going on, I can forget about it (and sometimes even work through it) while I'm scrapping. I can get lost in a page and everything seems to just melt away. I think that scrapping has made me a better person because it de-stresses me and that makes me more able to deal with all the day to day stuff.

So when the kids are screaming, dinner is burning, the dogs are barking (and the kids are barking back...don’t ask lol), and DH comes home and asks what I did all day...I RUN to my cabin in the woods! I’m even thinking about putting a “Do not disturb” sign on the cabin door...to bad my two girls can’t read yet! :O)
