How important scrapbooking is to my kids

By:Kathy G.

I started scrapbooking as a way to organize the many pictures that my husband and I take. After the kids were born, the stack of pictures grew exponentially! Being the crafty person that I am, I found scrapbooking to be just the thing for all these pictures!

Little did I know how important my scrapbooks would become to my children. Because of the journalling I did, my son and daughter "think" they remember what they did and said when they were one and two years old. They walk around saying things like: "I remember when I was two and played Cinderella and Mom, you were the prince, and I tried on the slipper".

Unfortunately, I have few pictures from my childhood and absolutely no journalling. I have few stories to think back on and remember the joy of being a kid. Luckily, my mother is still alive and I hope she has some pictures and stories to share with me so I can remember too!
