Scrapbooking hasn't changed my life, it RUNS my life!

Scrapbooking has changed my life in that it now RUNS my life.

If I am out running errands, a stop to the craft store is always a must. If I am in the hardware store with my husband, I stand there and think of ways I can use those things to store my things or to use in my albums.

I don't leave my house without a camera in hand. I now take several of a pose to make sure I get that perfect shot for my layout...heck I set up a pose to go with a layout I have in mind already!

I look at street signs and think, "that will make a great title for a page." I look at billboards and think, "that would make a great layout idea." So, I really can't look at anything anymore without thinking how I can duplicate it for my album.

I no longer buy coloring books for my son but for myself because I saw something that would make a great paper piecing pattern.

I now use scrapbooking techniques and tools for just about everything. I now make my own cards, mats for pictures in frames, and decorations. Just two weeks ago I did a baby shower for a friend and used my scrapping supplies for a game we played so that the Mom-To-Be could pull the things off the board and re-use them in her album. This way she would have all the work done when she got to her baby shower pages to scrapbook.

Just tonight in the car my 5 year old son asked if I would buy him an album so that he can scrap right along side me. He said he wants to do things just like his Mommy. So it has not only changed my life but his now too! (And I am THRILLED about that!)
