Why I Love Scrapbooking

For several years I have taken some of my scrapbooks to our yearly family reunion. Everyone says how much they like them, but they are not talented enough to do it. I kept telling them that there was no wrong way, and finally I convinced a cousin to come to my house to try. It is a four hour drive and we finally set it up for this weekend.
She brought a friend with her and got here about 11:30 yesterday. After eating lunch (a must) we started and they scrapped all afternoon (I monitored), went out to supper, and came back and scrapped til 12:30. They did a wonderful job for first-timers.
The friend was upset because she didn't bring many pictures because she said she probably would only do one page and quit since she probably wouldn't like it. But she and my cousin left asking what products should they buy!! They even wanted to know where on-line to see ideas and buy supplies, and of course I showed them this site.
Scrapbooking is a big part of my life. I enjoy doing it, buying "stuff", and sharing. Now I have two more people who know what is involved and love it too. Since she just lost her mother in December and I lost mine 5 years ago we know that family is important and preserving memories is the best way to tell furture generations "We care about you and want you to fondly remember we loved, had fun, and helped each other."
