Why Scrapbooking is so important

By:luvnscrapn

On a recent trip to an area thrift store, I was horrified to see some old photographs of some individuals. What made me so sad was that these photos would end up in a place such as this rather than being treasured by the family. I could only imagine what could have happened. Perhaps when an older family member passed away, the family had no clue who these individuals were as there were no labels or names written on them. These photograps are some one's relatives and dear loved ones, and now they sit on a thrift store shelf.

I hope that by scrapbooking my family's history into albums, they will be treasured heirlooms as the years go by and future generations are born. Scrapbooking is more than just making pretty show pieces to show your friends and family, even though if they are done right, they can show off our creative sides. Scrapbooking is creating a legacy of which to leave to our children and grandchildren.
