| I made the strip border that goes around the photos. I cut 2 bubble pattern strips then glued them to the outside of a wider, solid color strip then pieced them around the picture squares. This was a whole lot of work and I won't do it again! :D I hand lettered with white ink onto vellum then used chalk to "smudge" the edges of the title blocks. I cut black card stock into letters and put them behind the vellum. It's kinda cool looking but I'm not sure it's very effective. The journaling was done on the computer and printed onto vellum. I think it visually adds to the layout. This whole layout took a lot of time to do, but I experimented with a bunch of new techniques that I haven't tried before! Live and learn, huh? |
